A Note To My Single Self

“Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.”

Well, here you are.

Single.

Can I tell you how wonderful you are doing? The days after you left him you fell into a little cave, and you felt every sharp pain of shifting your dependence on him, with yourself. You allowed yourself room to feel, and you did it at the most inappropriate times, but hey it worked. You realized you didn’t need his acknowledgement of your worth anymore. Admit it girl, you love life.

It’s not so bad after all. You can spend your time with anyone you want and guess what? You don’t need anyone’s approval! You can go to the beach with that hot guy you met, you can eat an entire carton of ice cream, you can go to bars, you can go on random road trips, explore new places, you can go on dates, and meet new people. Literally ANYTHING!

Being in love is a beautiful and magical experience, but it is only that if it is with the right person. This is the time to really figure out what you ultimately wish for in your future husband. Become the best version of yourself, and do this by being alone. The more you stress about having a guy on your arm the less likely God will bring you the man you are supposed to be with. Fall in love with yourself and someone will fall in love with you.
